St Martin is the island of fun and entertainment.
From the 1st of January right through to the 31st of December, St. Martin will win the hearts of many by hosting a vast number of gatherings and events, all of them representative of our island life style. From sports to culture, food and history, each month is a whirlwind of celebrations and get-togethers, with something to interest everyone.

In addition to the events listed hereafter, visitors will enjoy discovering the diverse and varied activities organised on the island by local groups, sports clubs, restaurants, bars and other private establishments throughout the year. These events are relayed in the local press.
St Maarten's Carnival - "Let's delve into the Carnival"
From March 31st to May 2nrd, the Dutch side of the island celebrates Carnival.
During approximately 18 evenings, there are parades in the streets of Philipsburg.
In the evening the party continues in the Carnival Village with numerous concerts.
May 05th 2012, this event is featured on the international calendar of sport events.
This is a significant event because of the range of guests attending it.
The international meeting of St. Martin closes off the athletic season in the Caribbean.
Besides its undeniably High sport’s level, the competition has proven to be an excellent media opening for those taking part.
May 6th, at Cul de Sac pier, valorization of sea professions and food.
The traditional fishing village of Cul de Sac on Fish Day is entertained with more than 80 stands including culinary stands and welcomes more than 15.000 visitors.
This year, the "fête du nautisme" occurs on May 12th and 13th
Saturday, is a day dedicated to the school kids to allow them to discover ocean navigation, the Réserve naturelle and several nautical activities.
Sunday is a day open to everyone.
The Saint-Martin Rotaract is organizing the 1st cultural rally on may 17th.
This scanvenger race will be organizing on the entire island.

Small neighborhood on the hills overlooking the Caribbean Sea, St. Louis' celebration occurs on May 18th throught 20th.
Traditionally, it is "the family and the culinary specialties of the island" which are featured around sporting, traditional and cultural events.
The 8th edition of the Captain Oliver’s Regatta occurs on May 19th & 20th 2012

Quicksilver King of the Groms 2012
The King of the Groms has 16 years of age: tens of thousands of participants around the globe have tried their luck to be qualified on this essential, international trial.
This competition was created to detect young talents surfing on the best spots on earth.
The top four riders qualified for each series (12 total) will compete on the waves of Galion in St Martin on May, 26th and 27th, 2012.
Celebration taking place on May 27th, the day of commemoration of the abolition of slavery in Saint-Martin.
